Introducing Third House Nature Center's Virtual Nature Club!

Updated: Apr 16, 2020

Third House Nature Club, under the umbrella of the Third House Nature Center, has been sponsoring environmentally centered activities for children for about 25 years. These include guided hikes with naturalist and environmental educators, nature art workshops, visiting animal rehabilitators and family outdoor workshops.

With the spring 2020 Nature Club on hold, Third House Nature Center would like to offer a Virtual Nature Club, with a series of environmental activities that can be done safely at home or on family walks.

During this challenging time, THNC will be posting fun, engaging and educational activities that can be done while being mindful of social distancing guidelines.

*Please keep in mind that as the weather warms, things like poison ivy and ticks are more prevalent. Be sure to take proper precautions when walking outside.

Useful Items for Nature Activities

· A sketchbook or notepad to write down your findings and thoughts. You can find one around the house or even make your own!

· Pens and Pencils

· Used yogurt containers, glass jars or small bags for collecting.

Check back here weekly for new activities or follow us on social media for updates.
