  • May 3
  • 1 min read

Sunday, May 10, 9:30-11:30 am

Length: 3 miles

Join the Montauk Library Bird Club on a spring migration walk exploring the woodlands and wetlands of Big Reed Pond, led by Frank Quevedo.

May is peak migration, making this a perfect opportunity to observe warblers, vireos, and resident marsh birds. We will focus on identifying birds by sight and song.

This will be a moderate-paced 3-mile hike. All experience levels are welcome. This event is free for adults and children ages 10+. A limited number of binoculars will be available to borrow. Please wear tick and sun protection.

Co-sponsored by the Montauk Library Bird Club, South Fork Natural History Museum, and Third House Nature Center.

Limited to 30 participants. Registration is required.
