Montauk's historic Third House, located next door to Deep Hollow Ranch, is a spectacular landscape of rolling hills, ponds, trees, flowers, horses, a view of the ocean and a view of Lake Montauk and Peconic Bay. It will inspire everyone to paint wonderful works!
Barbara Thomas, an accomplished local painter and teacher will instruct this four week outdoor painting workshop. Barbara’s work explores the natural world and man’s relationship to it. Her subjects include earth and sky, flora and fauna, and seasons. Working mostly in traditional media, oil paint and gouache watercolor, she renders her views of the elements of nature with detail and attention.
Beginners to experienced painters age 15 and up will enjoy learning the
basics of landscape, with tricks for capturing all the wonder of this unique site.
